In the second quarter of 2025, the top music and audio applications on Android in Europe showcased interesting trends in downloads, revenue, and active users. This data, provided by Sensor Tower, offers insights into the performance of these popular apps.

Spotify: Music and Podcasts exhibited a strong performance with weekly revenue peaking at approximately $2.1M in late April. Throughout the quarter, weekly downloads remained steady, hovering around the 300K mark, with a notable increase to 347K in early June. The app maintained a robust user base, with weekly active users consistently around 62M.

Deezer: Music & Podcast Player saw a gradual increase in revenue, reaching nearly $599K by the end of June. Downloads fluctuated, with the highest recorded at 52K in mid-May. Active users showed a positive trend, rising from 6.1M to 6.4M over the quarter.

SoundCloud: The Music You Love experienced a moderate increase in revenue, reaching $171K by the end of June. Downloads decreased from 134K to 87K, while active users remained stable at around 5M throughout the quarter.

Pocket FM: Audio Series showed a steady rise in revenue, culminating in $180K at the end of June. Despite a decrease in downloads from 40K to 33K, active users grew from 165K to 209K, indicating increased user engagement.

Apple Music reported revenue growth, peaking at $115K in late June. Downloads surged to 190K in early June before stabilizing. However, active users declined from 2.2M to 1.6M over the quarter.
